Andrew had this wonderfully cheap idea for a vacation this summer since we just couldn't find the money to do that this year. His idea? Going to Tooelle area to visit both of our sisters. Andrew's sis lives in Stockton and mine lives in Stansbury Park. Needless to say it was a great idea. This will be a 3 part series.
So with us going down that way we of course had to stop at Ikea and dream about the things we could do to the house with our endless supply of money. Someday that will come, I'm sure of it! Besides that we are in search of an awesome dresser. not just any dresser but a big person dresser. I don't know if you've realized this but it seems that all adults (at least those that have grown up.) have a dresser not a 'chest' dresser. I have only owned a chest dresser so I think I am finally ready to make the big commitment of owning a real dresser. I really like this one its called the 8 drawer Hemnes dresser. I think it looks nice.
Now besides the practical search we also had fun doing crazy fun things you must do every time, when going to Ikea is on the schedule.
1. Go to the bathroom. There just isn't a more customer friendly store. I didn't have to use one of my diapers or wipes.
2. Walk around the showcases quoting from 500 Days of Summer. Good movie.
and
3. This
How can you NOT jump in a bed I ask? No one that's who!
Austin had a blast climbing on all the furniture, and even managed to run into a mirror that was positioned at the end of a row (I kid you not!) and carrying around his new friend.
It's hard to tell but its a stuffed rat. Andrew had tried to talk me into to buying it for 2 bucks. I said no. He just doesn't like stuffed animals much.
Gavin was pretty good through the whole ordeal.
Wait a sec! What is this? A smile!?!!?! Thanks Mana for entertaining him long enough to finally get it!!! Hopefully there will be more of these to go around!

Pictures
So no matter how much I try I can't get a good pic of Gavin. He has THE cutest smile but the moment the camera comes out it is all about serious looks and staring. Take this photo for example not too bad except I caught him with his eyes closed....(and he had no idea the camera was out...yet..)
And then this one is pretty blurry. He was so excited that one of his arms looks like it's not even there!
I will continue to try and get a good picture of that cute smile of his so I can share it with "the world" Until then I guess I'm stuck with sleeping pics like this one.
How cute is that?!?! Speaking of sleeping. We were at my mom's house and Austin wouldn't take a nap. He did finally give in........
His legs aren't even touching the floor! Silly kid. We let him sleep like this for an hour before we put him in a proper bed. Kids are so funny sometimes :)

Time flies when you're having fun,
Holy Cow I can't believe that it has been over a week since my last post! I will need to catch you up! First off I have received my Silhouette SD and it works great! Now I just wish I could go to town with it but since we are trying to get in a house I don't want to make more mess. :(
Now as far as the house goes. We are in the final negotiation process. Trying to get the seller to chip in for some of the expenses. man that is one frustrating part of buying a house. This guy doesn't want to do anything. So far he is ok with having to fix the two windows that are cracked and putting on the handrail on the staircase and all outlet covers on (4 of them were missing). But he will not prime and paint the outside windows, put a thousand credit on for the electrical that needs updated. Now I'm sure that sounds like he is doing a fair amount. But basically he will not do anything that will cost money or give us money. All the stuff he is doing is stuff he already has but hasn't put on or up. We will see about this last part and hope for the best! :)
Also we have had 2 "activity days" with the neighbors that I would like to take note of. Last time we did something way simple. I had made some bean bags and had all sorts of cans and boxes around so I gathered them up and headed over to the Joneses home. This time we got to have Ayden in on the fun too. At first they did pretty good and put rocks and dirt and even the bean bags into the containers.
But then they decided to play their own way. Which honestly was hilarious.
As usual we had some bystanders enjoying the show.
The activity today was pretty fun if I say so myself :) I ground up some fruit loops and gave the kids some glue sticks and paper. They went at it and enjoyed throwing the cereal onto the paper to see what they created.
After making their art, there was so much leftover sand we just had to eat it all afterwords. Sadly Ayden went for a nap early so he wasn't able to come hopefully next time.

I bought it :)
I have been following many blogs for the past months that deal with different crafts and other creative ideas. Well 7. Yes, 7 of them were doing a giveaway for a silhouette sd. I did put in for every one of them but sadly I didn't win. Andrew knew just how much I wanted one when I told him about the giveaways and how they are having a sale right now if I didn't win.... I was joking halfheartedly and left it at that. Then to my surprise, a couple of nights ago, Andrew told me I could buy one! To tell you the least I was ecstatic! So sometime in the next two weeks this baby will be showing up at the door! WooHoo!
It cuts vinyl, paper and you don't buy cartridges like you have to for the Cricut. I can't wait to see how it is!!!

The Cry in the Night
Let me introduce you to my youngest child, Gavin. This is a pretty serious picture but his smile lights up and it uses his entire face. Such a cutie, if I can say so myself! And only 4 months old (about). Last night I have to admit that I was not happy to be his mom. Why? 4 hours of crying from 2 to 6 am, off and on but mostly on. To top it all off Andrew and I went to bed pretty late. Midnight or so I think. And that's not all of it, even after we calmed him down (he slept on daddy) at 8am it started again. So My husband, being the great man he is, stayed home from work and let me sleep a little bit and even get a shower. With a day like this should have been, a shower would have been out of the question. After that I took the crying Gavin and got him to sleep. Now this isn't the most flattering pic of me but this is the result of a bad night.
Andrew caught us sleeping. Check out the capri's They are from the Kohl's adventure! Thanks for taking care of me honey!

The Pearls
Yesterday I went shopping with my favorite little sister Amanda, who we like to call Mana. I dragged her around for me to find some much needed new clothes after having my last baby. The mission: To find cute shorts or capris, skirt if lucky and new shirts if cheap. So first we went to Ross. Here we just made fun of the clothes but I did find an ok shirt. Not a total waste of an hour. Then we went to Kohl's where we checked out all the 60-80% off racked in hopes to find some cute summer clothes. I luckily found some nice looking capris. But that's not all. Mana was looking at the jewelry in hopes of finding an inexpensive nicer looking pearl necklace than the plastic ones she has at home. With that in mind I went around looking at the clearance isle and all around, honestly trying to find something for me but keeping her in mind as well. Then I found some for her. They were a nice looking cream color but Mana realized they wouldn't match her white "pearl" earrings. So I looked down and found some and they weren't exact but close enough. I check the price tag 11 dollars but then I noticed the original tag....55 dollars!!! That's right I found 55 dollar pearls in the clearance. Knowing this Mana gets excited and we go to check out where we are reminded that jewelry is even more on sale and get them for 5.68. Now don't get me wrong I'm happy I found them for her and happy they are a higher quality than we ever thought we would find but part of me is, I guess, jealous. Which is so silly because I have never really wanted pearls. I think it's more the idea of getting something worth 55 dollars for 5 bucks and some change! Wow what a find!
Well there they are....So beautiful. I realize now I should have taken a picture of the lucky owner wearing them..all well. Mana, I guess you get out of having a picture in my blog a little longer......

So that's what Jello's for
For months and months I had wanted to start a activity day during the week. Today was the day for that to start. We invited Austin's favorite friend, Daimian Jones, over and had fun with Jello. Here are a few photos of the fun that was had.
At first Austin wasn't so sure about putting his feet in. Though Daimian was all about it!
He did finally decide it was fun to play in. All he wanted to do was move the jello from bucket to bucket.
Our cute little Gavin cheering from the side lines
Like all good things it had to come to an end so clean up started..........
And ENDED!!!!! He was not happy for it to end though it might have been the cold water... I wonder how long their hands will be red?

Running
Has anyone else noticed that everyone seems to be taking up running? It's this new "in" thing to do, at least here is cache valley it is. Some friends I had known a long time are suddenly training for 5 and 10k's Even my husband has caught this bug and is training for the Top of Utah Marathon. Well he had been bitten by "The Bug" originally in high school. But he is back and I think enjoying it a lot (except those really long runs on Saturday morning) I on the other hand will never have the desire to run unless it involves a good game of basketball with it. :) I can't even run a block before noticing I hate it. I am proud of my Andrew making his decision to get back to running and impressed with all those that enjoy it. Every morning (If I get up and ready.) I see at least 5 or 6 runners listening to their music. Running is the new soccer it seems.
In other news. Our offer was accepted on the house! Now we just have to see if USDA is ok with the house we chose. (No Big problems or fixes) Now our fingers are tightly crossed.

Finally
Finally I am a blogger and not a blog stalker anymore! Well I guess I still am but now I have one of my own so it's not quite as bad :) I have been wanting to do this for some time now but because of laziness I had not. Believe it or not we are going to be purchasing a home soon...Well I hope. We are in the middle of counter offers and trying to get the guy to go down, though His real estate agent calls him "Weird and difficult" If all goes well we will be living in Smithfield. At that point, it will be the 2nd city I have lived. I have only lived in Logan,. born and raised, so it will take a little getting use to having to drive more than 6 blocks to my parents home.
We are at a new chapter in our life I can feel it!!
The main reason I want to do this blog is to be better at keeping a "journal". I have tried to keep a physical journal but end up going months and even years without posting anything. Maybe with this I will be better. Only time can tell.
