March

One month with 3 kids. Some people have problems with increasing their family size. Some say that 2 was super hard, other 3 is the worse. My option? 1 child was the worst. I have always been a hard worker. I have had a full time job since I was 14 years old. I babysat for 2 families for those first 2 years. In high school I had 2 full time jobs. Having one child is not enough work for me. I was bored out of my mind and HAD to go back to work after 9 months of “suffering”. 2 kids simple, 3 kids no problem here. Yes there are hard days and times that I want to hide in my room all day but for the most part life is good. Do I miss my job? YES! I loved everything about my job. Healthcare was always meant for me but right now my time is to be here with my kids, and make sure their health is being taken care of.

The annual Egg Olympics. This has become a great deal of fun on my side of the family even though we were introduced to this by Andrew’s side of the family. So much fun! Need your own events? go here to see my post on the different events we have done!

February

We quickly needed to get a car before the baby came. We found this one and bought it a day before we had the baby. A minute there I thought we would need to take 2 trips to get the whole family back.

The  baby comes! Feb 13th. On his own. My water broke when I was sweeping the floor, getting ready for an activity days activity. Needless to say it got canceled. A baby coming on his due date? Really?!?! I have always needed to be induced before with kids 8 and 4 days overdue. This was a nice change of pace to not have to wait. I will not share my whole birthing process but I did get to experience the natural child birth not by choice but by waiting to long to get the epidural. By far the epidural helps more than you can imagine! My body went into major shock. I was shaking so bad I thought I was going to give Jordan shaken baby syndrome! The labor only lasted 4 hours! So no complaints there!

The kids didn’t get to go and meet him at the hospital since it was RSV season. So they got to meet him at Aunt Susan’s house. She graciously took care of them while I had the baby. Here they are watching a diaper change. Gavin was very unsure about him. It took about 4-6 months until he really decided he liked Jordan. Before that he just went through the notions like a kiss.

Jordan had Jaundice so we would but him in the sun whenever we could to get that down. We only had to test him twice outside the home! :) The boys would act to silly

One thing about Jordan that I will never forget about is his scowl . He would always have that angry face on. Luckily, now it doesn’t show itself very often. He is a very happy faced baby now.

December

After a year of not posting anything to this blog I thought is would be high time for me to catch things up month by month! Hopefully, as next year comes I will be up to date!

First off was Austin’s birthday. We went to the Jumpzone ,Which is was way fun. I wasn’t able to jump since I was WAY to pregnant to attempt. So I took pics and video to remember the occasion. The kids didn’t understand what the jump zone was before we went and complained and whined about not wanting to go in. We still made them go since we KNEW they would love it. I wish I had captured the first moment they realized what this activity was all about. Basically Andrew held the hands of both the kids and walked them onto the black stuff. (They were still whining at this point.) At the first bounce there was instant smiles and laughing. They had so much fun with their daddy and jumping. :)

We also had Grandparents come over to give Austin his presents. Nothing better than a gift and cookies.

How many people does it take to put together a Hotwheels Track? I count 6…

P1000807

Gavin is my little builder. Austin makes some things as well but Gavin’s Airplanes are awesome! His nursery teacher comment on his building skills all the time. He was pretty proud of this one.

P1000818

Austin’s first Nativity scene with the Primary. Yep cried through the whole thing. We had to get off the stage. I never thought I would have the crying kid in Primary. But alas, I do. Luckily, we are just fine with primary now and walk there by themselves now!
