Austin's b-day

Austin turned 2 years old on Dec. 1st. It was a fun get together with the Joneses, my parents, and my Aunt Susan. I made this banner which everyone around the blog world seems to be making. I was very proud of it.  We had cupcakes and ice cream for a treat. and watsch Austin and Daimian have fun playing with the toys. We were having so much fun I didn't take any pictures though I did get a video of it but I don't know how to fix and post that kind of stuff yet but maybe in the future...

New Purchase

We have made many new purchases since owning a home like a new furnance, electrical updates, and a new water heater. Needless to say I have not been excited about ANY of those! Though I was excited to have this baby brought into our home.

The boys are already enjoying it. Oh and no I do not play the piano. I had 4 years of lessons but that's were it stops at the numbers. I never liked it and didn't try hard so I don't even think I was past the super easy practice books. Andrew is the piano player in our home. I hope he will be able to practice here and there since he is a little rusty, and who knows maybe I'll be able to teach myself a thing or two.  :)

The Carport

I've been meaning to write about this for a LONG time. Well With the purchase of our home; that gave us a list of 14 things that we had to get done for our loan. Painting the carport was one of them. Now the reason why I'm sharing this task and not any of the other ones is that I did this all by myself. except for some help from my mom a few days and a night of help from Andrew on the priming. Though I did have a little bit of help I still think of it as my "baby". That just happen to turn out awesome! Here are some BEFORE pics:

Can't help but love the paint falling off the board. What do they mean it needs painting? :)

How cut is Austin? He went and sat on the other side to be just like Daddy. Though I think it's funny that daddy was sitting on the wrong side of the ladder... oh and yes that is a dishwasher in the carport. it currently is sitting out on the driveway getting snowed on and stuff. If you want to take it away for us we would be happy to let you! :)

Now for the AFTER pic which i just took today. I had seriously finished painting this on the last day we could for the dead line. It had to be at least 50 degrees for the paint we got. I finished painting on the last day in 2010 that it was 50 degrees. Man that was close!

Wow how beautiful, how majestic! ha j/k But look no more hanging around paint! Now with any project that you end up loving a lot that means that something bad happened right? well in this case something unfortunate happened.....

I had decided to paint the ceiling on the front porch to get rid of all that ugly gray paint and this happens with only 2 minutes of painting left...

AHHHHHH!!!!! This is my front porch!!! This is what everyone sees first thing when coming into our home! It was all over our beautiful purple brink that I love so much. I was so mad I couldn't even look at it for sometime so I called Andrew and cried. Cried with frustration. It only happen because I had so little to do I switched to just using the can instead of pouring out a little more. Andrew came home and helped me clean up. We use pressured water from a hose and a wire brush and this is what it looks like today.
Can you believe that is the same spot? There are still spot of paint but not nearly as much damage as I originally thought! Thank goodness!!!

Thanksgiving

This year we were at Andrew's for Thanksgiving. It was only us,the grandparents and Mitchell. Though it was small it was still a lot of fun and relaxing. We are sadly on a different schedule than the rest of his siblings. How did this happen?? Well...My fam had been on a schedule for years and I was aware of it so we got onto my fam schedule immediately. Later we find out Charlotte is opposite of us but it wasn't a big deal since they visit both fams during the week so we weren't concerned. Then as his other siblings got married they have chosen to be on with Charlotte's schedule. Which hopefully we can maybe change ours to in the future..
We had an Awesome meal of traditional Thanksgiving food. The stuffing was amazing, though it did have mushrooms in it so that was prob. why I felt that way. :) And I made this center piece for the occasion.
I saw something like this on many of the blogs I read but they made theirs with a bread recipe. I decided to go the quick way out and used the Pillsbury's seamless croissant rolls. It didn't take to long to make and it tasted delicious! We played lots of games and didn't have anything to worry about. It was great!

Andrew's Family decided a few years ago to get together no matter what on a certain day in November so we could see everyone. This was a day filled with fun with games and making many 3D stars which were a HUGE hit. I found the idea here: Iheartnaptime. Ours turned out just the same but with more bright colors like these ones.

I cut over 80 stars that day and even ended up doing more with my sister later that week. My Silhouette really got a workout! It was a fun day! Here are some other pics of fun:
Austin kept asking Chad to pull on his shirt like this over and over.

Gavin enjoying the show

I have no idea when this pic was taken but it was so cute I couldn't help myself.
