Halloween

I think Halloween was soon enough that I feel we are not playing catch up anymore! HURRAY! For Halloween we went to Andrew's family and we even spent the night! Honestly it has been so long since we have seen them! We needed to spend a good time over there. I'm happy we did too, It was so fun! we played a lot of Dominion and some Wacky 6, and caught up on things going on with the fam. And an added surprise that Elisabeth was there too. It seems whenever Elisabeth makes it over, we end up only getting to see her for an hour and then she leaves. So it was great to spend a little longer with her this time!

This was a fun Halloween. It was the first time ever that I didn't feel stupid dressed up. We even went to AT&T to get new phones in our costumes! Thanks for the fun!

Playing catch up: Part 3

Apple Squeezing

this year we were actually able to do some "squeezing". Usually it only happens every other year but there was enough to invite everyone except there wasn't quite as much as usual that everyone didn't get to take what they usually do. We didn't any but that wasn't our fault! We decided our good friends the Joneses needed us more! Their new baby boy had a complication and had to have surgery. We didn't have a chance to meet this new addition yet and they had already been at Primary Children's for about 8 days I believe. I was sure they wanted to see new people besides the nursing staff and family so we sacrificed our bit of the apples to see our best friends which I think was worth it! And we did make to apples...Well in time for the pot luck lunch! Is there really any other reason to make it there? haha. Playing catch up: part 2

Andrew ran a full Marathon!!! I'm so proud of him! He spent week after week waking up early and run with our friend, Merrill Jones. Some mornings were cold and rainy. And there were many times he didn't want to go out and run and did anyway. what was his reward? sweet sweet victory! He made it in by 4 hours 34 min. Not too bad for a first marathon. Yes you heard me first. As it is for many people he was bitten by the bug. He doesn't plan on running again soon. In fact since that day he hasn't ran even a block! Well maybe to a bus he was missing. :)  Now I have video of him running but I will have to figure out how to post it so it might take me a little bit but that will come soon!

Playing catch up: part 1

I'm finally feeling like I can post again. After getting into our house, having to paint the carport and porch before the weather went cold, starting potty training, and having to spend every second possible with my grad student hubby has kept me from writing anything. I would like to first catch up from the previous things that we've done then to the more recent stuff. This will be multiple posts but hopefully I am going to get all of them done today! :)

The first thing is the rest of the Wednesday activity days. Sadly, we haven't been continuing these since the move and the birth of Corinne's babe but after the holidays I am going to try and get them going again!

For the activity we played with water.
We had sponges, sprinklers and buckets of water. It was pretty fun. Here are some pics from the adventures.

and of course after anyone gets wet what is the first thing you do? Just into the sand box. There is nothing better!

Austin had great fun with Ayden and Daimian.

The next week we sadly didn't get to play with Ayden but Austin and Daimian had fun playing with balloons and plates here are those pics!

They had fun but honestly I was so frustrated and Corinne was feeling so pregnant it just wasn't fun for all this time.... Will come next year more to come I hope!
